Terms of Service — Snappicon

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Snappicon at snappicon.com ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, free users, and paying subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Snappicon is a web-based tool that generates favicon, OG image, and PWA icon assets from uploaded images. The Service is provided on a subscription and free-tier basis. Free-tier users are subject to rate limits (1 generation per day). Pro and Team subscribers receive unlimited generations and additional features as described on the pricing page.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Upload images that you do not own or have rights to use
Attempt to circumvent rate limits through proxies, VPNs, or automated tools
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
Share account credentials or allow others to use your paid subscription

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions (Pro at $5/month, Team at $19/month) are billed monthly on a recurring basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Tax may be applied based on your billing address in accordance with applicable law.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard or by contacting us at support@snappicon.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain Pro/Team access until then. We do not prorate partial months.

7. Refund Policy

Because Snappicon delivers digital services that are accessible immediately upon payment, all sales are generally final. However, we offer the following goodwill policy:

New subscribers who have not used the paid features (unlimited generations, brand kit) may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial charge by emailing support@snappicon.com with the subject line "Refund Request".
Refund requests submitted after 7 days, or from accounts that have actively used paid features, are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.
Renewals (month 2 and beyond) are not eligible for refunds. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid future charges.
Refunds are not available for partial months or unused time remaining after cancellation.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We take payment integrity seriously. Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, you agree to contact us at support@snappicon.com to resolve the issue directly. We respond to all billing inquiries within 2 business days.

Unauthorized chargebacks — disputes filed with your card issuer for charges that are valid under these Terms — are considered a breach of this agreement and may result in:

Immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account
A chargeback dispute filing by us with supporting evidence of service delivery
Referral to collections for outstanding balances plus any chargeback fees assessed to us (typically $15–$25 per dispute)
Restriction from creating future accounts

If a chargeback is ruled in your favor after we've provided evidence of legitimate service delivery, we reserve the right to pursue recovery through other legal means. We maintain detailed records of all service delivery, login events, and asset generation activity.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the images you upload. By uploading, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process your images solely to generate your requested assets. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded images or the assets generated from them.

The Snappicon name, logo, software, and website design are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated assets will meet every use case. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snappicon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis — class actions are waived. You and Snappicon agree that any arbitration will be conducted in English.
